24th - 27th September

Got the shit scared out of me by a fake Doctor, drank 2 milkshakes in one sitting (Curly Wurly, then Lion+Millions+Flumps), drank too much free beer and wine at a medical student get together, made the most of an All You Can Eat Chinese Buffet, impulse bought ODST, finally got promoted in Halo3, realised I won't be able to buy Dear Agony until HMV gets it, researched adapter cables to get my old printer back to life, still haven't talked to my girlfriend, discovered I have 2 South African lecturers (best accent ever), re-learned first aid.

21st - 23rd September

Started Uni, talked to very few new people as expected considering my unimpressive social skills, discovered the Jelly Tot Milkshake, got a student card with a picture that makes me look retarded, went on a pub crawl that I left at 10.30pm to get a bus home, had an arguement with my girlfriend and we're now "on a break", got to hear 2 new Breaking Benjamin songs, realised I can't afford to buy my own lunches forever and will need to start taking packed lunches made by my parents, had my first ever drive inside an old Mini...

Fallout 3... again

Playing through Fallout 3 again. Forgot how good it was. The best part though is the start, when you have no guns, no ammo, no armour. You just have to trawl the wasteland picking your fights, until youve amassed enough ammo and weapons to take bigger targers and earn better loot. Its amazing how at the start of the game just acquiring your first assault rifle and few rounds of ammo makes you feel amazing. Compare that to the end, when your character is overpowered, with every weapon and next to unlimited amounts of ammo, killing enemies just feels like slaughter.
I'm trying to play through this time as a baddy with negative karma. But I just can't do it. The negative conversation choices just tend to make me feel like a massive dickhead...

Spiders everywhere

There's only one thing worse than having a spider running around my bedroom. And that's 3 spiders running around my bedroom! Why can't they fuck off and find someone else to annoy. Someone who isn't afriad. Seriously, do chances of spiders entering your room increase if you're afraid of them?!

More Kanye

Anyone who thinks Kanye did the right thing is an idiot. Saying that though, I'm glad he did it. The internet hasn't made me laugh so much since... Pokedads were invented?

Courage Wolf of the Week

Technology is shit

Msn is not working. Facebook is not working. People who play sabotage on CoD insist on scoring the game within the first 2 minutes of a 20 minute game. Registering for Uni online is a chore. Fuck all is on TV.
What the hell do they expect me to do? Read a book?

4 month Summer

I am truly fed up with summer and I wish it would crawl off and die in a hole somewhere.

Prestige mode

Just started going through Prestige mode for a second time on Call of Duty: World at War. I really don't see the point cus I don't care about rank. What I do care about however, is that when I earn experience after level 65 it doesn't earn me anything. Taking prestige means at least my exp points aren't going to waste. Plus it stops me turning into one of those players that relys entirely on one weapon or feat to win everything. I see it as exercise, so I don't get sloppy :P

Student

In other news, my university welcome pack to give me details about when we start, etc. STILL hasn't arrived! How am I supposed to prepare for student life when I don't know anything?!
Though I'm told medical text books can cost £45 so I'm not looking forward to shopping for them really.

Willpower FTW!

I don't know how non-drinkers do it, but going out and not drinking is definately not that fun. Well, at least at the start. When everyone else gets drunk it livens up a bit. I'm really surprised I managed to go all night without a single drink. My willpower never normally lasts that long.

Farewell Do

So went to the party... and it was GREAT. Nearly the whole gang was there, more people than we can usually rope into coming to one of our parties! Couldn't get 15 Strongbow for a fiver though like the tesco ads said so that was dissapointing, but 4 litres did me just fine. Didn't even get to drink my Mickey Finns! Even got my social skills going :P
Also ate like a tonne. Ice cream, doritos, cadburys heroes, haribo, sherberts, gravy chip and microwave pizza... I couldn't stop eating. I'm pretty sure the pains in my stomach right now have nothing to do with a hangover, it's soley due to excessive food consumption.
Also, I didn't throw up all over his house which is never a bad thing. Did come back home with someone elses keys though... And I might've broken his oven...
Awwwwwwwwww well.

Tuesday 8 September 2009

So I'm going to a "Farewell" party in 2 hours. Saying bye to my mates who are leaving our fair shores will be sad, but it should be a good night. It's been a year since we were all at a party at the same house. The night that I vomited all over the carpet in front of the guy's mother... Good times!
I'm planning on drinking away my current woes and sorrows.

Laptops

So my laptop battery needs replaced according to the annoying little announcement that pops up whenever I turn it on. It's a Dell Vostro 1710, and it costs nearly £100 to get a new one from Dell. How crap is that?! I could use the £100 to put towards a netbook that I could bring to Uni.

Nerd Venn Diagram

I love this. Also, I'm a geek... well, that's what I like to think!

District 9

Everyone who has the smallest interest in sci-fi should see this movie. I genuinely think it is one of the best alien movies to come out in the last decade at least. Not since Aliens or T2 have I enjoyed a sci-fil film as much. And considering it was made with a budget that's tiny compared to other releases of this year, that's no mean feat.

First Post

I felt like creating a blog as an outlet for all happiness, rage, annoyance, boredom, jealousy, love, hate or anything else I might feel during my immense amount of free time. Not that anyone will likely read it, but I'm led to believe it can be good for you to write how you feel. And I've also developed a fondness for rambling on the internet, so... here we are.
